Description
The Bison wind barrier is made of polypropylene laminated with a polyethylene film. The material is P-marked and UV- and moisture/heat-stabilized, with an estimated aging resistance of at least 50 years. The product is diffusion-open, which allows any moisture to be transported out through the material. At the same time, the wind barrier is windproof and has a water-repellent exterior. It is installed on the outside of the insulation, behind the façade's outer layer.
Function
The wind barrier protects the insulation from wind exposure and thereby ensures that the insulation's performance is maintained. It also prevents moisture behind the façade from penetrating the insulation, which reduces the risk of moisture damage.
